Sweet Donuts

An eCommerce website for

a donuts store.

The idea

We all love food and especially sweet and beautiful things. So I decided to design a website for a donut shop, that is sweet and playful.

Today in instagram we love that our food is not only will look good, but also that it will be photographed beautifully.

Competitive Research

I was inspired to make Sweet Donuts feel light and sweet. In order to succeed in such a challenge, I researched the strengths and weaknesses of the competitors. I learned how small and large different bakery sites deal with similar issues in order to characterize and redesign my site in the best way.

Wireframes and flow

The wireframes accompany the users flow from the homepage to the final purchase. After experimenting with several layouts based on my research and goals, I chose the one that best serves the user, making its path as easy and intuitive as possible. I presented the hero image in a big way and gave highlights to each element, and relevant information according to what the user searches.

The design

As a designer, I believe that the most important tool for creating differentiation, standing out and invoking emotion is color. Color is the main element that transmits the story.

Which is why I used in the design in delicate pastels colors that would encourage the donut's sweetness look.
